Kart Racer 86 by blackbirddev is a demake racer for the NES built in the style of Super Mario Kart. This game is a work in progress, with several features not implemented yet to make a full racing game.
The game currently features “Mode 7” lite graphics on the NES, a driveable track, and wall-based obstacles. You can picture the first NES kart racing game that was released in 1986. The goal of the game is like the rest of the racing games but stimulating, where you’ll drive around, controlling your car at a certain speed, avoiding bumping into sides or things. A map will show you how far you’ve come and how far you need to go.
